Transfer from Folsom Lake College in Folsom…Pre-Chico Days: Played two seasons for the Falcons…Helped lead Folsom Lake to the 2017 Big 8 Conference championship…A 2015 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove…Earned three varsity letters…Helped lead the Eagles to a postseason appearance…Also lettered in tennis…Personal: Born March 3, 1997, in Irvine…Son of Dan Potts and Diana Zanoni Potts…Has one younger sister, Nina…The person he most admires in the sports world is Spanish professional football manager and former player Pep Guardiola (“because of his amazing understand of the game of soccer and his relentless pursuit of perfection while pushing his players to be the best they can be”…Why he chose to attend Chico State: “The great community, outstanding soccer program, and the educational opportunity”…His greatest sports moment was scoring two top corner goals from 20 yards and 30 yards out on Sophomore Night to clinch the Big 8 Conference title with Folsom Lake College…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is going on a road trip from Rome to Verona and visiting his family from Italy …The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is “Posting the first winning season in school history during my first season at Folsom Lake College, and winning the first Big 8 Conference title in school history during my second season at FLC”…Has learned by playing soccer to “always try to be better than you were the day before”…Enjoys playing soccer, listening to music, going to the lake/river, and spending time with friends when he has some free time…Lived out in the country from second grade through high school and had a grass field and soccer goal in his back yard…At the top of his bucket list: “Watching a Barcelona game at the Camp Nou Stadium”…Best advice ever received came from his dad: “Do what you love and love what you do”…Majoring in exercise physiology…Plans to coach soccer, pursue a career as a personal trainer, and open his own business.
