Second year in the Wiildcats’ program…Pre-Chico Days: Played one season for Cal State San Marcos, starting all 16 matches in 2019…Posted one goal and three assists…A 2019 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach…Did not play soccer in high school…Earned a varsity letter in tennis…Served as team captain for his Pateadores club soccer team in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy…Personal: Born May 6, 2001, in Long Beach…Son of Martin Rafael and Magdalena Juárez…Has three siblings: Mariana, Martin Jr., and Marlén…His parents are his heroes (“They overcame so many challenges in life to put me into the position I am in today”)…The person he most admires in the sports world is Kobe Bryant (“His mentality towards his sport is admirable, and I try to follow that mentality”)…Why he chose to attend Chico State: “The soccer team is competitive and the I like the community that Chico provides”…His greatest sports moment was playing in a tournament in the Cayman Islands…Has learned by playing soccer that “the only way to get better is to devote the time and effort to keep practicing”…Enjoys spending time with friends…At the top of his bucket list: “Visit Spain and England to see the football culture”…Best advice ever received came from his dad: “One of the best ways to lead is by example”…Majoring in business administration…Hopes to go on to play professional soccer.
