Biography

The 2021–22 season marks Travis’s second year in the Wildcats’ program.
 
Pre-Chico Highlights:
A 2020 graduate of Castro Valley High School…Led the Trojans to the 2019 West Alameda Country Conference championship and three straight North Coast Section postseason appearances…Three-time All-WACC selection and was named the league’s 2019 Player of the Year…Nominated for his school’s Student Athlete of the Year in 2016.
 
Personal:
Born October 8, 2001, in Castro Valley…Son of Dan and Pam…His mom is his hero (“She’s always been the most powerful role model and biggest influence in my life. She taught me so much about mental strength and how you determine your limits”)…Chose to attend Chico State “because of the business program. I also really like my coach, Nick Green”…His greatest sports moment was making a comeback playoff win at the 2019 San Francisco City Championship (“This showed me my potential and competitive strengths”)…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is go camping and making a pizza with a tortilla…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is being nominated for his high school’s Student Athlete of the Year…Has learned by playing golf that “no matter how good you’re playing, the game can always humble anybody. It’s a good lesson to never get too comfortable and stay on your toes”…Enjoys playing basketball when he has some free time…His biggest talent outside of golf: “I can make some bomb pasta”…Loves smoothies…At the top of his bucket list: “To buy a Rolls Royce someday”…Best advice ever received came from his mom: “Live by the Four Principles of Ethics”…Majoring in business marketing…Plans on pursuing a career in golf while working in the real estate field.
