Pre-Chico Highlights:
A 2020 graduate of Castro Valley High School…Led the Trojans to the 2019 West Alameda Country Conference championship and three straight North Coast Section postseason appearances…Named 2019 WACC Player of the Year.
Personal:
Born October 8, 2001, in Castro Valley…Son of Dan and Pam…The person he most admires in the sports world is former college football player and well-known motivational speaker Inky Johnson (“He’s the most inspirational athlete ever. His work ethic was insane no matter what the situation was”)…Why he chose to attend Chico State: “I love the campus, Coach Green made me feel welcome, and the advising staff is really supportive”…His greatest sports moment was making a comeback in the 2019 San Francisco City Championship (“I chose this moment because it was nice having my family out there, and it was a great learning experience to compare myself to a field of that type”)…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is putting together a custom putter with his father during quarantine…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is receiving Player of the Year honors in the West Alameda County Conference as a high school junior…Has learned by playing golf that “hard work will always beat talent; whoever wants it most will succeed”…Enjoys staying active (“so going to the courts and getting a few shots up is always fun”) when he has some free time…Loves to go snowboarding…At the top of his bucket list: “To get the chance to drive a Bugatti”…Best advice ever received came from his eighth grade football coach: “Make a list of your goals.
