The 2021–22 season marks Dakota’s third year in the Wildcats’ program.
2019–20 Highlights
Averaged 75.6 stokes per round in five tournament appearances, including four top 40 finishes…Posted a 72-74-76-222 and a 21st place finish at the October 14–15 Sierra Central Wildcat Classic…Shot low round score of 3-under par 69 February 24 at the Bay Area Invitational.
Pre-Chico Highlights:
A 2019 graduate of Liberty High School in Bakersfield…Named All-Area Boys Player of the Year in both his junior and senior seasons…Led the Southwest Yosemite League in stroke average (71.57) in 2018–19…Posted the lowest score among Kern County golfers at the 2019 Central Section Championships at Porterville’s River Island Country Club…Enjoyed a 72.29 strokes per round average as a junior and shot even-par 72 at Buena Vista Golf Course to win the 2018 Central Section South Area Championship…Three-time team MVP…Also lettered in football and basketball.

Born June 18, 2000, in Long Beach…Son of Greg and Lori…Has two younger siblings, Jaxon and Reese…The people he most admires in the sports world is Drew Brees (“because of his success despite his height disadvantage at the quarterback position”)…Favorite course at Chico State is World Sports and Games, taught by Dave Berman…Chose to attend Chico State “because of the college town atmosphere and great athletic program”…His greatest sports moment was during his freshman year of high school, when he came into a football game trailing by four points “and drove down the field to throw the game-winning touchdown to one of my best friends as time expired”…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is spend a week in Mexico and swim with dolphins…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is “shooting 62 at my home course (Stockdale Country Club)”…Has learned patience by playing golf: “Long 36 hole days, waiting on every shot. It wears on you if you're not mentally tough”…Enjoys playing video games, playing basketball and spending time with friends…Claims he can throw a football 60 yards…At the top of his bucket list: “Play Augusta National Golf Club”…Best advice ever received came from his dad: “Every shot counts”…Majoring in business administration…Plans to find a job “where I enjoy going to work every day.”
