A standout runner at El Camino Community College, Kassa finished 6^th at the California Community College State Championships as a sophomore, crossing the line in a PR of 20:23 on the 4-mile course… Named the Conference Athlete of the Year for cross country...On the track, Kassa enjoyed similar success winning numerous conference titles… As a sophomore, Kassa won conference crowns in both the 10k and 3k steeplechase…Completed an impressive California State Meet triple, placing 4^th in the 10k (31:41), 4^th in the steeplechase (9:24), and 7^th in the 5k (15:04)...Named the 2014-2015 El Camino Community College Male Student Athlete of the Year.
