Chico State Athletics

Alvidrez comes to Chico via El Camino College, but more recently from the US Army, where he served four years and spent time in Iraq. Alvidrez was a part of several solid teams at El Camino under the guidance of Coach Dean Lofgren. After completing his two years at El Camino, Alvidrez joined the military and was subsequently sent to Iraq.  Back in school and running competitively again, Alvidrez has a new outlook on college and running and has shown flashes that indicate the potential for success at the college level.  His 20:32 preseason four-mile time trial was a good indication of his progress to date.
