2019–20
Earned All-CCAA and All-West Region honors during the 2019 cross country season…Opened with a ninth place finish September 13 at the Stump Invitational, posting an 8k time of 25:35.7…Posted an 8k PR time of 24:41.2 and placed 23rd September 28, 2019 at the Capital Cross Challenge…Notched an eighth place finish (10k time of 32:14.3) October 12, 2019 at the Western Washington Classic…Placed ninth (8k time of 25:13.4) October 26, 2019 at the CCAA XC Championships, helping the Wildcat secure the program’s 18th consecutive conference title…Finished 14th November 9, 2019 at the NCAA West Regional, posting a PR time of 30:26.1 on the 10k layout…Concluded the season by placing 50th (10k time of 30:58.1) November 23, 2019 at the NCAA XC Championships in Sacramento…Did not compete during the shortened 2020 track & field season.
 
2018–19
Began the cross country season with a 53rd place showing at the Capital Cross Invitational…Finished seventh at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational with a 24:49 8k PR, helping the men’s team to their second title of the day…Placed 15th overall at the UC San Diego Triton Invitational, but just missed making the CCAA line-up….Concluded the fall with a sixth place run at the Doc Adams Invitational…Opened the 2019 track season with a 4:03/2:02/15:21  1,500/800/5k triple at the Wildcat Invitational…Raced to a 14:51 5k at the Hornet Invitational…Recorded a 14:41 5k PR at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic…Notched another PR at the 1,500m distance with a 4:02 time at the Chico Distance Carnival…Illness undermined the remainder of the season, as he concluded the spring campaign with a 32:03 10k at the Mt. SAC Invitational.
 
2017–18
Started the fall season with a 25:25 sixth place effort in the open race at the Riverside Invitational…Recorded a 25:17 8k PR and placed 40th overall at the Capital Cross Challenge…Raced to an 11th place finish at the Western Washington Invitational, clocking a swift 31:49 for the hilly 10k layout…Landed the final All-CCAA spot (15th place) at the conference championships as the ’Cats’ No. 9 runner on the day…Concluded the season with a 5k track PR of 14:55 in the team’s annual postseason time trial…On the track, picked up where he’d left off in XC recording a 14:45 PR in the 5k…Sidelined by injuries the remainder of the spring.
 
2016–17
Redshirted both seasons during first year at Chico State…Opened season with a fourth place finish at the Rebels Cross Country Challenge in Sacramento running a 19:06 for the 6k course…Finished 97th at the Capital Cross Challenge with a 25:37 8k PR…Placed 45th at the Bronco Invitational with a 26:37 mark…Place 12th at the Doc Adams Invitational with a time of 25:58…Enjoyed a 15:03 track 5k PR in the team’s postseason time trial…Concluded the fall season with a 54th place finish at the Pacific Association USATF Championships in San Francisco…On the track, opened the spring with a 4:08 1,500 meters at the Wildcat Invitational…Enjoyed a nice 25-lap debut running in the USATF Junior Championships and posting a qualifying 31:54 time for the 10k at the San Francisco Distance Carnival…Ran a 4:06 1,500-meter PR at the Chico Twilight Invitational…Managed a 15:18 5k at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational in Berkeley…Posted a 15:25 5k at the West Coast Last Chance meet…Finished the long freshman campaign with a seventh place finish at the USATF Junior Championships in front of his hometown fans in Sacramento.
 
Pre-Chico Days
Placed third overall (15:34) at the Stanford Invitational while running for Folsom’s Vista Del Lago High School…Won the Sac-Joaquin Section Cross Country Championship as a senior in 16:04 on the difficult Willow Hills 5k course…Concluded senior XC season with an All-State 10th place run (PR time of 15:21) in the Division III Boys race…Recorded a 3200m PR of 9:21 at the Sacramento Meet of Champions…Wrapped up his senior track season with a fifth place finish in the Sac-Joaquin Section Championships 3200m.
 
Personal
Born June 29, 1998, in Mountain View…Son of Graham and Michelle…Has two younger siblings, Kathleen (a former Wildcat distance runner) and Preston…The person he most admires in the sports world is Formula One race car driver Ayrton Senna (“for his humility and kindness”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Artificial Intelligence, taught by Christine Patrick Donnelly…Why he chose to attend Chico State: “For the people and the town”…His greatest sports moment was running in the 2019 NCAA Cross Country Championships in Sacramento…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is drive to New York…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is graduating from college…Has learned patience by running cross country…Enjoys reading and drawing when he has some free time…Can play the piano and the cello…Adopted two cats over the summer…At the top of his bucket list: “Travel out of the country”…Best advice ever received came from his high school coach: “Hard work pays off”…Majoring in computer science…Plans to pursue a career in software engineering.
