Pre-Chico Days
- One of the top male distance runners in the state of Nevada during his senior year at Galena High School in Reno
- Won three consecutive regional cross country titles
- State cross country champion as a sophomore
- On the track, went undefeated in 10 races between the 1,600m and 3,200m distances, winning regional titles in both events
- Recorded PR’s in the 800m (2:00), 1,600m (4:27), and 3,200m (9:41) during his senior season (all at altitude)
- As a sophomore, finished third in the state in the 3,200m.
Personal
- Born November 1 in Reno, Nevada
- Son of Bryson and Karen
- Has one older sibling, Cassidy
- Favorite course is Surveying with Spangler & Ringle (Civil 130 & 140)
- Admires his dad because "he has been an amazing role model my entire life."
- Favorite athlete is Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant because of his work ethic and philosophy surrounding life and sports
- Chose Chico State because of the "amazing program and winning tradition Coach Gary Towne has built."
- His greatest moment in sports thus far was competing at the NCAA Championships in his collegiate career
- The most impressive thing he accomplished in his life outside of sports is "beating teammates Travis Selby in a 1-v-1."
- Outside of sports, "I'm the best hooper on the team."
- Enjoys playing basketball outside the cross country course
- Likes to spend time with his dogs during his free time
- On his bucket list is to "pay my parents back for all they've provided for me."
- The best advice he received was "if something seems impossible, that's all the more reason to go for it."
