- Ran a personal-best time of 25:00.8 (8K) at the season-opening Kim Duyst Invitational

As a Freshman - T&F (2024)
- Appeared in two meets, competing in the 5000m
- Clocked a new personal best at the Chico Invitational with a time of 15:25.90
As a Freshman - XC (2023)
- Raced only meet at San Francisco State Invitational, running in 27:26.7 (8K) for 80th place
Pre-Chico Days
- Placed among the top three in all but one race during his senior cross country season at Gilroy High School
- Placed second in the Pacific Coast Athletic League championships with a three-mile time of 16:17.0, and third in the Central Coast Section championships (2.95 mile personal best time of 15:46.5)
- Concluded the fall season with a 5k PR of 16:00.03 and a 30th place finish at the State championships
- Earned All-PCAL honors
- In track, competed in the 4x400m relay, and the 800m, 1,600m, 1 mile, and 3,200m runs
- Recorded two personal best times as a senior: 4:29.64 in the 1,600m run, and 9:30.03 in the 3,200m run.
Personal
- Born December 18, in Gilroy
- Son of Ricardo Guzman and Kimberly Wilson
- Has one younger brother, Joshua
- His grandpa is his hero (“He was the toughest person I’ve ever known. He was a Vietnam veteran and a fifth degree Black Belt in Jujitsu. He was a fighter who never gave up and didn’t back down from anything”)
- The person he most admires in the sports world is long-distance runner Eliud Kipchoge (“because of his mindset and his beliefs in running and in life”)
- Why he chose to attend Chico State: “Chico has an amazing cross country team. I wanted to be a part of it and run at the collegiate level”…His greatest sports moment was winning a 1,600m race by a tenth of a second with a time of 4:50
- The most interesting thing he’s ever done is jump off waterfalls in Hawaii
- The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is earning a Black Belt in Taekwondo
- Has learned by competing in distance running that “success doesn’t come immediately. It takes time, so have patience”
- Enjoys taking naps, listening to music, and playing video games when he has some free time
- His biggest non-running talent: “I’m very athletic and am able to pick up on sports pretty quickly”
- Claims to know some card magic tricks
- At the top of his bucket list: “Go skiing in Switzerland”
- Best advice ever received came from his dad: “Just play the game/Just run”
- Majoring in exercise physiology
