Biography

2018–2019:
Two separate bicycle accidents sidelined much of Branco’s second year of running at Chico State…Raced only once in cross country, recording a 19th place finish at UC Davis’ Doc Adams Invtiational…Off minimal training in the spring, ran a 4:08 1500m at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic…Concluded the season with a 4:03 seasonal best at the Chico Twilight Invitational.
 
2017–2018:
Red shirted both cross country and track seasons…Opened fall with a 10th place finish at the PAUSATF Rebel Challenge…Recorded a 25:58 8k debut at the Capital Cross Challenge while placing 84th overall…Placed 11th in the open race at the Bronco Invitational with a PR 25:32…Concluded the fall season with a 14:59 5k PR in the team’s post season track time trial…On the oval, focused on the 1,500-meter event where he recorded a PR of 3:58 to conclude the spring season.
 
Pre-Chico Days
Developed into one of the best distance runners in the Central Section during his junior and senior years at Visalia’s Redwood High School…Placed third overall with a PR of 15:48 at the 2016 Roughrider Cross Country Invitational (run on the Woodward Park Course)…Won the West Yosemite League individual title and finish fourth in the Central Section D-II Championship race…Proved to be a versatile talent on the track, performing well between the 400 and 3,200-meter distances…His 1,600-meter PR (4:18.1) came at Azusa’s Meet of Champions…Recorded a 1:57 800-meter personal best, and a 9:33 PR in the 3,200 meters.
