During his junior and senior years, Branco developed into one of the best distance runners in the Central Section...At the 2016 Roughrider cross country invitational (run on the Woodward Park Course) Branco placed third overall with a PR of 15:48...Went on to win the West Yosemite League individual title and finish 4^th in the Central Section DII Championship race…On the track, Branco proved to be a versatile talent, performing well between the 400 and 3200-meter distances...His 1600-meter PR (4:18.1) came at Azusa’s Meet of Champions...He also recorded a 1:57 800-meter personal best, and a 9:33 PR in the 3200 meters.
