Chico State Athletics

A quiet determined hard worker, Isaias Escobedo has shown the determination, talent, and work ethic to run at a very high level. But consistent race performances have been difficult to achieve.  During his junior year of cross country Escobedo started the season with a 13th-place finish at the Wildcats' home invitational while running with top runners from all schools present, but illness struck in the coming weeks and the gritty transfer from College of the Sequoias was unable to return to this early season form.  Another setback struck over the winter months that cost Escobedo most of the base training for track. Another solid runner on the deep Wildcat roster that has potential for doing some great things this fall.
