Placed 89th at the Capital Cross Challenge to open the 2018 XC season…Helped the Wildcats score a team win at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational with a near-PT time (25:13) and a 15th place finish…Raced to a 28th place finish at the UC San Diego Triton Invitational…Wrapped up the fall season with a 10th place run at the Doc Adams Invitational…On the track, opened the season with a 4:06 in the 1,500 and a time of 2:02 in the 800 at the Wildcat Invitational…Lowered his seasonal best for the 800 to 1:55 at the Hornet Invitational…Recorded a 4:00/1:56 double at the Fanelli Track Classic…The Chico Twilight meet brought a seasonal breakthrough with a 3:54 in the 1,500…Concluded the spring with a 3:54 run and a sixth place finish in the 1,500 final at the CCAA Championships.
2017–18
A late summer anemia diagnosis caused a sluggish start to the fall season…Began the cross country campaign with a 26:09 effort at the Riverside Invitational…Two weeks later placed 103rd at the Capital Cross Challenge…A breakthrough was achieved with a 21st place effort at the Western Washington Invitational, clocking in at 32:25 on the 10k cours…Concluded the fall by defending his postseason 5k team time trial where he clocked a PR-tying 14:35 for the 12.5 lapper…Injuries forced him to sit out the 2018 track & field season.
2016–17
Placed 30th at the Humboldt Invitational in his first race in uniform...Placed 67th overall at the Capital Cross Challenge with a 25:12 8k PR…Was the team's 11th runner at the Triton Invitational while placing 26th overall…Finished seventh overall at the Doc Adams Invitational…Concluded the fall season with a win in the team’s 5k track time trial with a huge 14:35 PR…Began the track season with a 3:56/1:57 double at the Wildcat Invitational…Tied his 1,500-meter PR with a 3:56 at the San Francisco Distance Carnival, then doubled back the following day with a 1:53 800-meter personal best…Recorded a 3:53 1,500-meter PR at Azusa Pacific’s Bryan Clay Invitational…Finished the spring season with CCAA Championships finishes of seventh in the 800 meters and 8th in the 1,500 meters, scoring in both events.
2015–16
Redshirted both cross country and track seasons during his freshman year…Opened the fall with a 38th place finish at the Garin Park XC Challenge…Raced to a 15:14 PR in the team’s postseason 5k track time trial…Concluded the XC season with a 25:39 8k PR at the Doc Adams Invitational, placing 13th overall… On the track opened with a 4:03 1500m at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival…Recorded ann 800m time of 1:56 at the Chico State Distance Carnival…Posted a 4:01 1500m PR the following day at the Chico Twilight Invitational…Wrapped up the spring with a huge 3:56 1500m PR run at the West Coast Last Chance Invitational.
Pre-Chico Days
Enjoyed a solid senior year of running at San Diego’s Mt. Carmel High School, winning the Kit Carson Invitational in the fall and placing seventh at the San Diego Section Championships…Placed 39th in the Division I boys race at the State Championships, posting a PR time of 15:53 in the 5k…Specialized in the 800 and 1600-meter events on the track, posting PRs of 1:55 and 4:21…Earned state meet berths in the 1600-meter relay and 800m events.
