2012-13: CCAA All-Academic Award winner...Missed both seasons due to chronic side stitch issues...Studying abroad this year.

2011-12: Redshirted in cross country and struggled with injuries that limited his racing effectiveness and consistency...Did place 7th at the Santa Clara Open in 25:23...Opened the season with a 27th-place finish at the Humboldt Invitational...Saved best performance for last placing 15th overall at Doc Adams Invite in an 8k PR of 24:31...Ran in uniform during the track season but dealt with same ailment that plagued him in the fall, limiting him to only a few races.

High School: A three time scorer for Arcadia High School at the California State Championships…During his senior year, Arcadia ran the fastest team time in California State meet history and went on to win the Nike Team Nationals team race, earning the distinction of being National Team Champions…At the State Championships, Garibay placed 30th overall (15:34 finish time) despite battling a side stitch during the final mile of the race…At the Nike Team Nationals, Garibay finished 35th overall and was Arcadia’s number two runner on the day…On the track, Garibay notched an early season 15:06 PR for the 5K while running in the mostly collegiate field at the Ben Brown Invitational…An injury took him out of much of the track season, but he did record a 9:30 for 3,200 meters...Owns a 3,200-meter PR of 9:26, recorded during his junior year.
