Biography
2009-2010: Initial plans to redshirt were scrapped due to injuries to several of the ’Cats top cross country runners…Following a mid-season unattached outing at the Willamette Invitational (24:22 8k PR), made Chico State debut at the CCAA Championships and finished second overall behind teammate Jimmy Elam…His 4th place NCAA West Regional run led the Wildcats to their eighth straight team title…Season ended with a 136th place finish at the NCAA Championships…On the track, enjoyed a breakthrough season posting a 14:26 PR for 5k at the San Francisco State Invitational and a 30:28 PR for 10k at the Mt Sac Invitational…Won his first CCAA title by taking the Men’s 10k at the conference championships…Finished 14th in the 5k final at the NCAA Championships in North Carolina.
Pre-Chico: Numerous time North Section Champion while running for Fall River HS in McArthur…During senior year of track, recorded a 3200m PR of 9:11…Was a top runner at Cal State Fullerton for two years before transferring to Chico State in 2009.
