Biography

2009-2010:  Finished 27th at the Irvine Invitational and 71st overall at the Stanford meet (25:47) before notching first sub-25 minute run at the Willamette Invitational (24:50)…  Earned second consecutive All-CCAA award with a 10th place championship run in Humboldt…Helped the ‘Cats to their eighth straight NCAA West Region title with an 18th place finish…Finished 178th overall at NCAA Championships…On the track, injuries limited his training and racing…PR’s were not posted during his abbreviated 2010 season.

2008-2009:  Was Chico State’s 10th runner at the Willamette Invite while running his first sub-26 minute clocking for 8k (25:49)…Finished eighth overall at the San Francisco State Invitational, leading the ‘Cats “B” squad to a second place finish in the team scoring…Placed seventh overall at the CCAA Championships (‘Cats #6 runner on the day) in San Bernardino…On the heels of just missing the ‘Cats NCAA roster, Campos posted a 31:30 PR at the Almond Bowl 10k to finish the season…On the track, Campos dealt with a variety of injuries but still managed to drop his 5k PR to 15:25 while also posting a 31:35 mark for the 10k.

2007-2008: Finished 23rd overall at the Chico Invitational while running as the ‘Cats #9 man on the day…A time of 26:58 at the Bob Firman Invitational in Boise, Idaho was accomplished despite losing a shoe at mid race…Finished 21st overall at the San Francisco State Invitational…Closed season with a 32:40 Almond Bowl 10k run…On the track, Campos lowered his PR’s for the steeple and 5k to 9:49 and 15:31, respectively.

2006-2007: Redshirted both cross country and track as a freshman…Placed 45th at the Chico Invitational and 155th at the Stanford Invitational (27:00)…Finished 29th at the San Francisco State Invitational while dipping under 27 minutes for the first time for the 8k…Recorded a 33:24 10k while placing 12th at the Almond Bowl 10k.  On the track, recorded a 15:55 for 5k while redshirting.

High School: Solid competitor in cross country and track at El Rancho HS in Pico Rivera…Posted a 9:54 3200m PR and ran in the low 16’s on the Mt Sac cross country course as a senior.
