One of five Wildcat freshmen in 2021–22…Redshirting this season…Pre-Chico Days: A 2020 graduate of Mission Bay High School in San Diego…Helped lead Buccaneers to the 2017–18 Western League title and the CIF San Diego Section Open Division Championship…First Team All-WL selection…Served as team captain and was named team MVP…Earned All-Athletic Academic Team honors…Personal: Born November 16, 2002, in San Diego…Son of Tracy and Trisha…Has three siblings: Michael, Jade, and Angela…His grandfather is his hero (“He was my family’s rock. He supported all of us, he helped us financially when needed, and everyone admired him. I want to be just like him”)…The person he most admires in the sports world is Kobe Bryant (“He was one of the hardest workers and one of the best to ever play the game. He inspires me to get better every day”)…Chose to attend Chico State “because of the family atmosphere that Coach Clink has provided for me. He made me feel wanted and told me I would have to earn my spot to play, which I respect”)…His greatest sports moments so far are winning the San Diego Section Open Division Championship and committing to play at Chico State…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is traveling during AAU tournaments and making memories with family and friends…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is “getting an opportunity to get my school paid for and getting a chance to help my family out in the future”…Has learned by playing basketball to “push through everything and to never short yourself reaching for the stars”…Enjoys spending time with family and friends, and when he’s home, going to the beach…Cut his hair during the pandemic, which he hadn’t done since middle school…Claims his biggest non-basketball talents are musical (“I can sing, rap, dance; anything music-related”)…Can speak two languages…At the top of his bucket list: “To play in an NBA arena filled with fans”…Best advice ever received came from his weights and skill trainer back in San Diego, Douglas Alston and Joel Jones: “We would have a lot of talks about how important it is to put work before pleasure; that there is a time and place for everything, and to stay focused on your goal no matter what interferes”…Undecided on a major…Plans to become a professional basketball player.
