One of three true Wildcat freshmen…Pre-Chico Days: A 2021 graduate of South Medford High School in Medford, Oregon…Led the Panthers to a pair of Southwest Conference titles and the 2020–21 state championship…All-State Honorable Mention in 2019–20…Three-time First Team All-6A Southwest Conference selection…Led all Oregon high school players in steals for four consecutive seasons…Also lettered in soccer and track…First Team All-SWC selection in soccer in 2017–18 and 2018–19…Personal: Born September 4, 2002, in Medford, Oregon…Daughter of Antoine and Nicole…Has five brothers: Taylor, Kaleb, Kashan, Seth, and Cylas…Her dad and her high school basketball coach Tom Cole are her heroes (“These two men have been super important parts of my basketball career, and I would not be the player I am today without their constant motivation. They made believe in myself and made me push to become not only an exceptional athlete but person as well”)…The person she most admires in the sports world is professional tennis player Naomi Osaka (“because of the way she uses her platform to discuss and put focus on matters with stigmas such as BLM and mental health”)…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “It was close to home; I liked the energy that it gives off, and I knew I would be joining a strong program”…Her greatest sports moment and the most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is winning a state high school championship…Has learned by playing basketball that “whatever you put your mind to, you can accomplish. And if you are passionate about something, give it your all no matter the circumstance”)…Enjoys staying home and watching movies when she has some free time…During the pandemic, was able to travel with friends and her club team to several different states, meeting a lot of new people along the way…Claims her biggest non-basketball talent is “being a sister to five brothers”…Says “I am very open to trying new things, so if anyone needs a person to do something new with them, I am always up for it”…At the top of her bucket list: “Travel around Europe”…Best advice ever received came from her dad: “Shine the brightest on the biggest stages, and give your best when your best is needed and expected”…Majoring in cellular and molecular biology…Plans to continue her academic career after graduating, eventually becoming a medical examiner.
