- Named First Team All-Conference and received the MLK Leadership Award

- Transferred from West Valley College (Saratoga, Calif.)
- Helped lead West Valley to a 33–0 record and the CCCAA State Championship
- Earned Coast-South First Team All-Conference and Delta College All-Tournament Team honors

- Played one year with Team Arsenal (Oakland, Calif.) and two years with the San Francisco Rebels

- Son of Gennet Gebremeskel and Laine Zemmo
- Has one sister, Wintana, and one brother, Adal
- Majoring in Psychology with a minor in Behavioral Science
- He chose Chico State because it’s a great school with a strong reputation.
- His greatest sports moment so far was going undefeated (33–0) in his first year at West Valley College.
- Outside of basketball, his best talent is bowling, which he enjoys as a hobby.
