Second year in the Wildcats’ program…Pre-Chico Days: A 2020 graduate of St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower…Helped lead Braves to a pair of CIF Southern Section Open Division playoff appearances and the 2019–20 Trinity League title…A 2020 McDonald’s All-American Games nominee and the No. 66 player in the PrepHoops.com Southern California rankings…Earned All-TL Honorable Mention after averaging 7.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 0.9 blocked shots per game as a senior, connecting on 34 percent of his 3-point attempts…Began his prep career at Troy High School in Fullerton…Led the Warriors to the 2017–18 Freeway League championship as a sophomore, garnering the team’s Most Improved Player award and Troy High School Scholar Athlete honors…Personal: Born January 23, 2002, in Whittier…Son of Steve and Shelly…Has four younger siblings: Zak, Noah, Josh, and Eli…The person he most admires in the sports world is Michael Jordan (“because of his insane competitive drive and confidence in himself”)…Favorite course at Chico State in Business Law, taught by Jack Hames…Why he chose to attend Chico State: “The moment I stepped onto campus on my visit, I felt like I was at home”…His greatest sports moment was beating Mater Dei during his senior year of high school (“That rivalry has been huge for decades, and for me to get that final win before leaving meant a lot”)…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is go on a month-long road trip during his junior year of high school…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is going from a football player who had never touched a basketball going into high school, into a college basketball player…Has learned by playing basketball that “confidence is the best attribute anyone can have.
