Warren joins the Chico State men's basketball coaching staff after serving as the Assistant Coach at Lewis & Clark State. Most notably, the Oakland native spent four seasons as a student-athlete with the Chico State men's basketball team from 2017-2022, transferring from Cal State Monterey Bay.

In his single season with the Warriors, he helped lead their program to an NAIA National Tournament appearance after a 24-8 season and runner-up finish at the Cascade Conference Tournament to the eventual national champions, the College of Idaho.

During his playing career with the Wildcats, Warren was a standout All-CCAA First Team selection in his senior season as the team claimed the 2022 West Regional title, securing a trip to the NCAA Elite Eight. Warren ranked second on the 'Cats squad in 2022, starting all 27 games in their historic season.

A two-time NCAA Division II Chico State graduate, Warren left as the most decorated student-athlete in program history in terms of academic honors. He was a five-time Academic All-CCAA honoree, earned two Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Awards, was named the 2019-20 CCAA Men's Basketball Championship Scholar Award winner, and was a 2019-20 National Basketball Coaches Association Honors Court recipient.

An astute scholar-athlete, Warren graduated from Chico State in 2022 with his master's in communication studies. Following his collegiate career, Warren went on to play professionally in Australia's NBL 1 in 2022-23.
