Biography
After a solid two year stint at Hartnell CC, where Gradone-Rogers ran for former Wildcat Chris Zepeda, the talented junior decided to use his redshirt year, while learning the ropes of NCAA level running and training. This transition would prove to be quite valuable as Beau enjoyed a fine first year in uniform. In the fall of ’08 the lanky product of Watsonville High strode his way to All-CCAA and All-West Region honors. His Top-35 performance at the NCAA meet was a key to the ‘Cats third place team finish and earned him his first All-American award to go with conference and regional plaques. On the track Gradone-Rogers enjoyed similar success dropping his steeplechase time from 9:35 to 9:02, finishing the season with a fine 5th place showing at the NCAA meet. Beau now approaches his final season of eligibility in the best shape of his life and with lofty goals for each sport.
