Biography
It was only three years ago that Campos joined the Wildcat program as the final walk-on. In these three years the hard working Pico Rivera native has transformed himself from a runner barely able to break 10 minutes for 3200m in high school, to one of the better harriers in the CCAA. The 2008 cross country season was a definite turning point for Campos, who enjoyed an 8th place finish at the San Francisco Invitational and a very impressive 6th place run at the CCAA championships. Just missing the ‘Cats top 7 Campos recorded an impressive mid-31 minute run for the Almond Bowl 10k footrace several weeks after the conference run. Alan has already recorded a 25:18 8k time trial to start the ’09 season, so he appears ready to pick up where he left off in 2008.
