Biography
2011-2012: Started the season in impressive fashion, running 24:17 at the team’s 4-mile time trial...Followed that performance with a 10th place finish at the Humboldt Invitational...Placed 2nd in the open division at the Bronco Invite, covering the 5k course in 18:19...Ran an incredible 17:42 on the track in her first sub 18-minute run at the team’s end of the season 5K time trial...Opted not to redshirt on the track and ran to solid PRs throughout the season...Capped the year with an 8th-place scoring finish and PR of 11:50 in the steeplechase at the CCAA championships.
High School: Two time Santa Barbara County cross country champion…In 2009, Peinado ran 18:41 at the CIF Finals at Mt SAC, qualifying for the State Championships…Placed 16th at the State Championships in the Division IV race with a time of 18:57…On the track, recorded PR’s of 11:17 (3,200 meters) and 5:10 (1,600 meters) while placing second and fifth, respectively, in the Pac 7 league championships.
