2012-2013: Finished season with a 60th place performance at the NCAA Championships….Placed 20th at the West Region championships earning All-Region honors for the second straight season…Was the ‘Cats #5 at the CCAA Championships where he placed 8th overall…Finished 33rd at Stanford Invite…A 13th place finish at the West Coast Preview Invite helped the ‘Cats to a second place team finish…On the track Gradone hit some huge PR’s while gaining qualifying marks for NCAA’s in two events...Placed 14th in the NCAA 10k final, and 12th in the 5k in his first NCAA track experience…Placed third and fifth in the 1500 and 5k finals at the CCAA Championships earning All CCAA honors in the first event…At Mt Sac Gradone became the ‘Cats #3 all time 10k performer for the 10k running a 29:35 PR…Recorded a huge 3:53.01 PR for the 1500m while placing 4th in the Invitational 1500 heat at the Chico Twilight Invitational...Became the ‘Cats 6th fastest 5k performer ever with his 14:14 run at the San Francisco Distance Carnival.

2011-2012: Earned All-American honors while placing 35th at the NCAA Championships...Placed 14th at the NCAA West Regionals, earning All-West Region honors...Placed sixth at the CCAA Championships as the Wildcats took ten of the top 11 spots in the race, earning All-CCAA honors...Placed 57th at the Stanford Invitational helping team to a fourth place finish...Finished 12th at Willamette Invitational in a swift 8K time of 24:37...On the track, notched an NCAA provisional 14:30-5K at the San Francisco Distance Carnival…. Ran a 4:02 1,500-meter PR at the Chico Twilight...Finished season with 13th place effort at CCAA Championships in the 5K.

2010-2011: Placed 19th at the CCAA Championships…Recorded a PR of 24:19 while placing 17th at the Willamette Invitational…Placed 98th at the Stanford Invitational…On the track, recorded a 3K PR of 8:48 at the Aggie Invitational…Recorded a 14:58 PR in the 5K at the San Francisco Distance Carnival…Recorded a 5K of 15:09 and a 1,500-meter time of 4:06 at the Chico Twilight Invitational.

2009-2010: Redshirted his freshman seasons of cross country and track…Posted some impressive marks during the fall despite his redshirt status…Placed second overall with a time of 25:11 at the team’s 8K time trial…Competing unattached at the Irvine Invitational, placed 17th overall in 25:42…Joined the sub-25 club two weeks later while running to a 24:58 PR at the Willamette Invitational…Concluded the fall season with a 20th place showing at the San Francisco State Invitational and a 5K of 15:16 at the team’s season ending time trial…On the track, Gradone posted PR’s of 4:04 (1500m) and 15:11 (5K).

High School: Starred for coach Dan Gruber at Aptos HS…As a senior, posted a 15:33 PR at the famed Crystal Springs cross country course with a 3,200-meter PR of 9:32…One of Chico State’s top distance running additions for 2009.
