CHICO, Calif. - Another strong set of games puts Murphy on top of this week's FloCollege/CCAA Player of the Week voting for the second time this season. Averaging a staggering 21.5 points across two wins against conference opponents, the Junior continues to be an offensive menace, and the schedule has not even reached the halfway mark yet. Murphy led the scoring despite only seeing the free throw line twice between both matchups. 
 
This week's honor is Murphy's second time winning the award this season (Dec. 9-15) and the third time in his career. 
 
Murphy opened the week against the Otters with a strong second half, scoring 19 points on 46-percent shooting from the field. The Oakland native followed up his performance in Seaside with a stronger finish against the Warriors in Turlock, scoring 24 points and 56 percent shooting. He complemented his strong offensive presence with the ball in his hands, tallying 10 assists in 64 minutes on the court. 
 
Murphy's efficiency this season continues to push his conference-leading scoring average of 20.4 points per game while assisting 4.1 baskets per game. His scoring average is two points higher than the next top scorer in the conference. 
 
Murphy and the Wildcats will host a pair of tough opponents at Acker Gym this weekend as they welcome Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday and San Bernardino on Saturday.
