CHICO – Coming off winning the Western Washington Invitational Tuesday, Chico State men's golf senior Tyler Ashman was voted by the CCAA as the conference's golfer of the week Wednesday.
 
It is Ashman's second CCAA Golfer of the Week, with his last being in 2021 after finishing fourth in the same Western Washington Invitational.
 
Ashman came into the final day of the WWU Invitational in a tie for eighth. At the end of the day, he scored a career-low 67 to put together a three-round result of 212 to win the tournament. His final round included six birdies that helped him make the giant leap.
 
Overall, Ashman finished the tournament with an eagle, 12 birdies and 32 pars for his 212 score.
 
The Wildcats finished the tournament fourth in the team leaderboard.
 
Chico State will welcome 12 teams to Butte Creek Country Club for the Wildcat Invitational, beginning with 36 holes on Monday, 18 on Tuesday.
