Howard and Barres score; Hofmann hailed for another clean sheet

Box Score ELLENSBURG, Washington—The Chico State women's soccer team remains unscored upon through three matches following a 2-0 win at Central Washington University Thursday afternoon. Emma Hoffman earned the clean sheet in goal, which was Chico State's 10th in 12 matches dating back to last season. They've outscored their opponents 17-2 during that stretch.

Brynn Howard notched her second goal of the season in the opening stanza and Klayre Barres blasted home a free kick with 1:16 remaining to put the match away. The goal was the first of Barres' collegiate career, and it was a beauty. Taking the free kick from 20 yards out, just wide of the 18-yard box, Barres blasted it into the far upper-V.

The Wildcats will now head to Seattle for a showdown with Seattle Pacific set for Saturday at 4 p.m. Links to streaming video and live stats are available on the women's soccer schedule page and the calendar section of the homepage.
