The Chico State women's cross country team's final postseason warmup will take place where the postseason will wrap up, at Chambers Creek Regional Park in University Place, Washington. The 6,000-meter course along the shores of the Puget Sound will also be the site of the NCAA Championships on Dec. 2.
Chico State enters the race ranked No. 12 in the nation and No. 2 in the West Region. For the Wildcats to reach their goals there in December, they want to continue their positive trajectory Saturday. They'll be surrounded by lots of great competition. The 30-team field also features No. 3-ranked Colorado Mines, No. 11 Western Colorado, No. 20 Biola, No. 29 Western Washington, and six other sides ranked among their respective region's top 10.
The Women's Open 6K will start at 11:20 a.m. and the Women's Invitational-exclusively for Division II teams of up to 10 runners per team—takes place at noon. Chico State will have teams in each division.
