The chance to turn the page from their non-conference struggles and breathe new life into the season with the start of California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play was not to be for the Chico State men's soccer team Friday night. The Wildcats dropped their sixth straight, a 3-0 decision to Cal State San Bernardino, at University Soccer Stadium.
The Coyotes converted two penalty kicks, sandwiched around a long-distance rocket into the upper-V for their three scores. The Wildcats were limited to a season-low seven shots, only two of which were on goal. Luis Albarran made four saves for the Wildcats.
Chico State will have a quick turnaround in its quest to turn things around. The Wildcats play host to Cal State San Marcos Sunday at 11:30.
