What does 2014-15 have in store? It's time to find out. The Wildcats, who open the season ranked 19th by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, open their 100th season this weekend at the Sonoma State Ron Logsdon Basketball Classic. They'll take on Pacific Union Friday at 3 p.m. and Alaska Anchorage Saturday evening at 5:30.

Friday's game will be an internet-only broadcast on chicowildcats.com. Links to the broadcast are available in the calendar section of the homepage and the men's basketball schedule page. Saturday's game will also be broadcast on AM-1290 KPAY.

Jordan Semple, a First Team All-California Collegiate Athletic Assocition selection, is the team's lone returning starter. Fellow seniors Mike Rosaroso and Jordan Barton will also be asked to shoulder a greater load this season.

Head Coach Greg Clink's team also features four returning underclassmen – wings Drew Kitchens, Trevor Priest and Robert Duncan, and center Chris Magalotti.

They'll be joined by Fresno State transfer Tanner Giddings and a cast of nine exhilarating freshmen. Tyler Harris, Corey Silverstrom and Isaiah Ellis all redshirted last season and will be asked to step into key roles right away. A portion of the team's true freshmen class will likely redshirt, though Jalen McFerren, Nate Ambrosini, Marvin Timothy, Keith Datu, Chris Lott and Joseph Lynch – the recruiting class of 2014 – promise be a joy to watch for years to come.

Chico State is picked by the CCAA coaches to finish fourth the conference.

The Wildcats open the home portion of their campaign on Nov. 25 against William Jessup and then host Dominican and Azusa Pacific in the Carl's Jr. Mac Martin Invitational Nov. 28-29.
