TURLOCK – The Chico State men's soccer team outshot Cal State Stanislaus 16-6 Sunday. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, they also got outscored 1-0 for their sixth loss in eight California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) games.

Matt Hurlow hit four shots and Russell Ellyson, Akwafei Ajeakwa, Octavio Murillo, Justin Saul and Nick Radosavljevic took two apiece. Radosavljevic had a chance to tie the match late in the first half, but his penalty kick sailed wide.

The Wildcats fell to 6-6-2 overall and 1-6-1 in the CCAA. Cal State Stanislaus improved to 5-6-3 overall and 3-3-2 in the CCAA.

The Warriors scored the game's lone goal just 18:51 into the match when a corner kick was deflected in off a Wildcats defender.

Chico State will attempt to turn things around beginning with a home match Friday at 7 p.m. against San Francisco State.
