Semple, Park score 15 points apiece

Box Score ARCATA – Lumberjack Arena is one of the toughest places to play on the West Coast. Rashad Parker and the Chico State men's basketball team made it look fairly easy Saturday night. The Wildcats coasted to an 82-70 win in front of a packed house of pesky Humboldt State fans behind Parker's game-high 28.

Parker hit three of his five 3-pointers during a 26-10 push to end the first half and the Wildcats led by seven or more the rest of the way in snapping a two-game losing skid.

Men's Basketball player Drew Kitchens
Arcata native Jordan Semple scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Sean Park scored 15 points and Jordan Barton finished with six points and eight boards as the Wildcats improved to 12-4 overall and 8-4 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

Humboldt State led 22-17 with 7:49 left in the first half before Parker scored on a mid-range jumper, hit a 3-pointer, assisted on Semple's layup, and then hit another 3. Chico State had a 26-22 lead it would not relinquish.

Mike Rosaroso assisted on Park and Parker 3s on consecutive possessions and then Semple found Parker for another trifecta to build the lead to 10. Rosaroso dished out five assists in six minutes of action during the decisive run.

Parker finished the half with 17 points.

Drew Kitchens and Chris Magalotti came off the bench to help the Wildcats build on the lead in the second half. Kitchens scored a bucket and had two assists and Magalotti four points and four rebounds. Chico State earned its largest lead of the night, 56-40, when Kitchens spotted Magalotti inside for a slam with 13:37 to play.
