CHICO, Calif. – Audriana Spencer and Amanda Monteith were honored in the last regular season home game of their Chico State women's basketball career Thursday night. They each responded by having their usual stellar performance. Spencer scored 16 points and dished out three assists, while Monteith finished with eight points, four rebounds, and played stellar defense in the Wildcats' 67-50 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills. The second largest crowd of the season, 1,050, were on hand to see the Wildcats roll to a 28-point lead and then coast to victory.
By virtue of the final standings in the California Collegiate Athletic Association, these same teams will meet again at Acker Gym Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the opening round of the CCAA Championship Tournament. The winner will advance to the tournament semifinals, hosted by Cal State San Bernardino next Friday.
