Cal Poly Pomona succeeded in limiting the offense of the Chico State women's basketball team December 29, holding the Wildcats to just 56 points on the evening. However, there was one player the Broncos couldn't keep in check. Madison Wong, the 'Cats' leading scorer, excelled in several areas, railing four 3-pointers on the way to a team-high 15 points, while dishing out four assists and grabbing five steals. Her all-around play against Pomona makes Wong the latest Wildcat of the Week.

The junior guard connected on five of her 10 field goal attempts against Pomona—including 4-of-9 from 3-point range—to notch her sixth double-digit scoring effort of the season. It also marked the fifth time in Wong's Chico State career she has hit four 3-pointers in a game.

Wong is averaging a career-best 11.2 points a game so far this season, and ranks fourth among all California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) players with 23 3-pointers.

Wong is also about to join an elite group of Chico State long-distance shooters. With 96 treys heading into this week's road games against Cal State San Bernardino and Cal State San Marcos, she is poised to become just the 13th player in the program's history with 100 career 3-pointers.
