As a freshman in 2016, Grace Hepworth displayed plenty of potential as she steadily shaved time off of her 100-meter hurdle performances, and following a solid outing at the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Track & Field Championships, there was quite a bit of excitement revolving around the Rancho Murrieta product and what she could accomplish with the Wildcats in 2017.
Her fourth-place showing at the CCAA Championships helped the Wildcats capture there seventh straight conference title.
In her first meet of the season, Hepworth more than justified those expectations at the Wildcat Invitational, easily taking top honors in the 100-meter hurdles.
Hepworth's outstanding effort makes her the latest Wildcat of the Week.

Hepworth began the Wildcat Invitational by placing second in the 100-meter hurdle preliminaries, winning her heat with a time of 15.78 seconds.
It turned out she was just warming up.
In the finals, Hepworth blew past the competition and crossed the finish line with a winning time of 15.30 seconds.

Hepworth and the Chico State women's track & field team will be in Sacramento this Friday and Saturday, competing in the Sacramento State-hosted Hornet Invitational.
