Chico State Athletics

Lindsey Dias made a run from the far side of the box toward the middle. She rose up at just the right time. And she flicked the ball with her head into the back of the net. It was a familiar scene that has played itself out many times during the course of Dias' decorated four-year career as a midfielder for the Chico State women's soccer team.
 
Sunday's strike was a special one, however. It gave the Wildcats a 2-0 lead that would stand up in a victory at Cal State East Bay. It also marked the senior's 20^th goal and gave her 50 career points.
 
Dias, our Wildcat of the Week, is now just one of eight Wildcats who have amassed 50 career points. She's just the 10^th to reach the 20-goal plateau.
 
She's done it all while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of better than 3.9 as a nursing major.
 
Dias is one of five Wildcats who will be honored prior to Sunday's regular-season finale against Humboldt State at University Soccer Stadium. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. They'll face Sonoma State Friday night at 7 p.m.
