Dillon Kelley hit a couple of no-doubt home runs on his way to the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championship Tournament Most Valuable Player award last week in Stockton. He's the no-doubt choice for Wildcat of the Week.
 
Kelley hit a blistering .556 (10-for-18) with two home runs, two doubles, seven runs scored and five RBI to help lead Chico State to the CCAA Championship Tournament title and automatic berth in the NCAA Championship Tournament.
 
Kelley cracked two or more hits in four of the Wildcats' five games. He was 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored in a 6-2 win against Cal Poly Pomona. He was held hitless for the only time in the past 11 games Thursday in a 7-6 loss to UC San Diego. But he bounced back in a big way Friday, going 5-for-7 with two home runs and four RBI as the Wildcats beat Cal State Monterey Bay and Cal State East Bay to advance to Saturday's championship game.
 
Kelley went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI in the Wildcats' dogpile-inducing 10-9 title game win.
 
In his last 11 games, Kelley is 22-for-41 with four doubles and three home runs. He's raised his batting average to a team-high .355 as the Wildcats head into the NCAA Championship Tournament West Regional in Riverside. The Wildcats' NCAA Championship Tournament run begins Thursday at 7 p.m. with a first-round rematch against Cal Poly Pomona.
