Cody Snider drove in nine runs during the Wildcats' three-game series sweep of Cal State L.A. at Reeder Field over the weekend to earn Wildcat of the Week honors.
Snider slugged .867, smacking a double, two triples and a home run. He also stole a base and scored four times while going 5-for-15 at the plate.
The junior transfer from the University of San Francisco finished a single shy of the cycle and drove in seven runs in the Wildcats' 12-0 win Friday night. He hit a two-run double in the first, a two-run triple in the third and a three-run homer in the eighth.
The Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, native's seven RBI tied Josh Meagher for the most by a Wildcat in the Dave Taylor era and fell just one shy of Rich Gregory's school record.
Snider hit a two-run triple to break a 5-5 tie in the Wildcats' 15-13 victory in the second game of the series. He was 1-for-5 with a single, stolen base and run scored in the Wildcats' 6-1 win in the series finale.
Snider has hit safely in seven straight games and ranks second on the team in doubles, triples, and total bases.
With the sweep, the Wildcats improved to 17-6 and moved into the national rankings at No. 27. They host No. 23 UC San Diego for a three-game series this weekend beginning Friday night at 6.
