The Chico State women's basketball team may not be having the kind of season it was hoping for, but the play of Hannah Womack in 2014-15 has more than lived up to preseason expectations. The senior guard has not only been a consistent scorer, but has been a big contributor in other aspects of the Chico State attack, both offensively and defensively. Womack once again spearheaded the 'Cats' attack in home games against Cal State L.A. and Cal State Dominguez Hills to earn Wildcat of the Week honors for the third time this season.Â
Â
Womack averaged 14 points in the two weekend contests while also leading the 'Cats with nine assists. She connected for three 3-pointers and was a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line. Womack added five rebounds and three steals in a combined 63 minutes of action.
Â
In Friday's 71-64 loss to Cal State L.A., Womack scored 10 points and dished out seven assists, followed by a team-high 18-point performance Saturday against Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Â
Womack, currently averaging 14.7 points a game, ranks fourth in the CCAA in scoring and is among the conference's top 10 players in 3-pointers (35) and free throw percentage (84.1 percent). Womack, with 131 career treys, needs just five more to move past Natasha Smith and into the Wildcats' all-time top 10 3-pointers list.

The Wildcats wrap up their four-game homestand this weekend, taking on UC San Diego Friday and Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday.
