Chico State senior guard Rashad Parker averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and two assists per game to lead the Wildcats to a pair of road victories over the weekend and earn Wildcat of the Week honors. Parker knocked down 5-of-10 3-pointers and 18-of-20 free throws.
The Castro Valley High School product poured in a game-high 25 points in the Wildcats 87-80 win at Cal State Monterey Bay Friday, matching his season high with five 3-pointers. He also grabbed four rebounds, dished out two assists, and committed only one turnover while playing all 40 minutes.
Saturday he knocked down four straight free throws down the stretch to help seal at 70-56 victory at Cal State East Bay. Parker finished with 16 points, five rebounds and two assists in 36 minutes.
Parker ranks 10th conference play in scoring (15.0), ninth in 3-pointers per game (1.9), eighth in assists per game (2.9), fourth in free throws per game (4.6) and second in free throw percentage (82 percent).
