Chico State third baseman Pierson Jeremiah batted .500 to lead the Chico State baseball team to a four-game sweep of visiting Cal State Stanislaus over the weekend. Jeremiah went 8-for-16 with six RBI and five runs scored to earn Wildcat of the Week honors. He also doubled, tripled, drew two walks, and struck out just once while playing flawless defense in seven chances at the hot corner.

Jeremiah went 3-for-4 with a double, triple and two RBI in the Wildcats' 6-3 win on Friday. He went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI in Saturday's 20-5 win. In Saturday's second game he went 1-for-4 with a run and RBI. And Jeremiah capped the weekend with a 2-for-4 effort in Sunday's 9-5 win. He scored two runs and drove in another.

The senior from San Mateo pushed his season average to .315 over the weekend. One of just two Wildcats to start all 24 games this season, he leads the team in hits and sacrifice bunts and ranks second in RBI and walks.

Jeremiah and the CCAA-leading Wildcats will play a four-game series at San Francisco State beginning Thursday at 3 p.m. They'll play a doubleheader Friday at 11 a.m. and a single game Saturday at 11.
