Chico State junior midfielder Akwafei Ajeakwa scored his second goal of the season Friday in the Wildcats' 3-0 win against Cal State L.A. The transfer from L.A. Harbor Community College hustled his way to the Wildcats' second goal of the day in the 28th minute. Luis Martinez played a through ball toward the near post to put Cal State L.A. in danger. When Golden Eagles goalkeeper Waleed Cassis fumbled the ball following an aggressive slide, Ajeakwa, never stopping on the play, was there to touch it away and then drive it home for his second goal in as many matches.

Ajeakwa is quickly establishing himself as one of the conference's top newcomers with his quickness, hustle and savvy. He leads the Wildcats with two goals, and his .333 shot-on-goal percentage ranks second.

Ajeakwa and the Wildcats (2-2 overall and 1-1 in the CCAA) host Cal State Monterey Bay Friday night at 7 and Cal State East Bay Sunday at 2.
