Some like veggie burgers, some cheeseburgers, and still others enjoy a bacon burger. Chico State women's soccer coach Kim Sutton likes Denni Jo Berger, and so do the team's fans.

Berger assisted on both of the Wildcats' goals in a 2-0 win at Sonoma State Friday to earn Wildcat of the Week honors. The speedy sophomore now leads the Wildcats with four assists and ranks sixth in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).

Berger has also scored a pair of goals this season and ranks second on the team with eight points, behind only Lisa Webster.

Friday, Berger played a through ball to Lisa Webster for the first goal of the match in the 18th minute. In the second half, Berger and Ashley Perlman set up Webster, who finished with a header to make it 2-0.

The Wildcats dropped a 2-0 decision to Humboldt State Sunday, but Berger led all players with five shots.

The Wildcats, 6-6 overall and 5-5 in the CCAA, are back in action next weekend when they hit the road to take on UC San Diego Friday at 4:30 p.m. and Cal State East Bay Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
