Chico State Athletics

As a true frosh in 2005 Julie Shaw became one of a select group of Wildcats to earn All-West Region honors as a true freshman.  This performance helped the ‘Cats to a West Regional team title and an eventual fourth-place NCAA finish.  Since her frosh season injuries have hindered her training causing a variety of performances in both sports.  Her 37:28 10k and sub-18 minute 5k show the type of potential that Julie carries. Although she has enjoyed a good stretch of training since the spring, Shaw has intentions of redshirting the ’08 cross country season, then returning to track for her junior year of eligibility on the oval.
