Appeared in one match for the Wildcats in 2019…Played in three matches in 2018…Redshirted in 2017…Two-time CCAA All-Academic recipient…Pre-Chico Days: A 2017 graduate of Alhambra High School in Martinez…Earned three varsity letters with the Bulldogs…Named Second Team All-Diablo Athletic League as a senior…Personal: Born March 11, 1999, in Martinez…Daughter of Dennis and Amy Salva, and Doug Laventure…Has two siblings, Kyle and twin brother Brady…Her mom is her hero (“She is the most selfless, incredible, strong, motivated, and wholesome human. She does not take on any task to only do it half way. She works so hard and I want to be half the woman she is when I am older”)…Admires the U.S. Olympics volleyball team (“They show GRIT like no other and they are unbelievable players”)…Her favorite course at Chico State is Dance, and her favorite instructor is Lindsay Briggs…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “I love this little town it is beautiful and it has so much to offer. Everyone here including athletes, the athletic program and more were so welcoming and kind and that sold me among a lot of other things”…Her greatest sports moment so far is being able to play volleyball at Chico State (“It’s such an awesome program. Playing for the Wildcats has been amazing”)…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is eat a cricket…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is completing a 1,000 piece puzzle during quarantine…Has learned patience, commitment, motivation, teamwork, resilience, and dedication by playing volleyball (“I have also experienced how mentally tough I am through being in this program. I have learned how to mentally push through things no matter how hard it might be”)…Enjoys golfing and spending time with her family and friends…Among her biggest non-sport talents: “I can do the worm, and also sing 90 percent of Pink songs”…At the top of her bucket list: riding in a hot air balloon…Best advice ever received: “Never give up just because you fail, always get up and try again”…Majoring in public health…Would like to follow a career “that enables me to help people, wherever that may be.”
