Posted 135 kills for the ’Cats in 2019…Ranked fifth on the team with 26 blocks…Delivered 10 or more kills in five matches…Piled up seven blocks November 1, 2019 vs. Humboldt State…Collected a career-high 177 kills, 47 blocks, and 10 service aces in 2018…Recorded career-best 14-kill performances August 31, 2018 vs. Simon Fraser and October 5, 2018 against Cal State Monterey Bay…Collected 126 kills and 43 blocks as a true freshman in 2017…Notched 10 kills and four blocks against Cal State LA in the 2017 CCAA Championship Tournament semifinals…Pre-Chico Days: A 2017 graduate of Carlsbad High School…Two- All-Avocado West League selection…Personal: Born July 11, 1999, in Encinitas…Daughter of Elizabeth Marshall…Has one older sibling, Stacey…Her mom is her hero (“She has shown me how to be an independent and strong-willed woman. I came on my official visit and was sold the second I met the team and explored the city”…Her greatest sports moment is “being able to prove myself as a freshman and earn a starting spot on the team”…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is explore different areas of the world (“Each summer traveling to a different place”)…Most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is getting into the master’s program at Chico State: “I waited for over a month to receive my acceptance letter, but once I saw the email the celebration was worth the wait. Being able to graduate college in four years while balancing volleyball and now continuing on to my master’s program was something I never saw myself accomplishing”…Has learned by playing volleyball that “there isn’t always highs, but lows too. The lows show you the type of obstacles you’re willing to push through to become a better athlete”…Enjoys “anything outside,” going to farmer’s markets with her roommates, taking hikes, going to the pool, or taking a drive to Upper Bidwell Park to watch the sunset…Loves photography and being able to “capture a moment with my friends”…Admits she originally dreamt of being a soccer play and wasn’t really a fan of volleyball until the ninth grade…At the top of her bucket list: “To visit Brazil and meet all my relatives on my dad's side and see more of the culture I am part of”…Best advice ever received was a quote she and her mom would say to each other: “If it’s not gonna matter in five years, don’t spend more than five minutes being upset about it”…Currently working towards a master’s degree in business marketing…Plans a career emphasizing marketing and/or sales.
