Appeared in 11 matches for the Wildcats in 2019, starting six…Registered 23 blocks, tying for second-best on the team in blocks per set (0.66)…Posted multiple blocks in six matches, including four stuffs in three different contests (September 12, 2019 vs. Saint Martin’s, September 13, 2019 against Academy of Art, and September 20, 2019 vs. Cal State Monterey Bay)…Four-time CCAA All-Academic selection…Pre-Chico Days: Played two seasons at Gavilan College in Gilroy…Won a pair of Coast South Conference crowns and helped lead the Rams to the 2018 state semifinals…Two-time First Team All-CSC selection…Named conference’s MVP and earned All-State honors in 2018…All-Northern California Regional selection…Holds the school for most blocks in a single match, most blocks in a season, and career blocks…Also a member of Gavilan College’s Coast South Conference champion beach volleyball team…A 2017 graduate of Gilroy High School…Three-year scholar athlete…Personal: Born September 28, 1999, in San Jose…Daughter of Peter and Michele…Has three siblings: Jenna, Margo, and Caden…Her grandpa is her hero (“I’ve always admired how smart he was, and I would get excited for every conversation we had. I enjoyed following her and her partner’s journeys throughout the years”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Management 444, taught by Sean Morgan…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “I felt it gave me the best opportunity to pursue my volleyball career while staying in California. I fell in love with this little town on my visit and really looked forward to working with the coaches”…Her greatest sports moment was beating Feather River College in the 2018 playoffs to get Gavilan College to the state tournament…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is hike the Grand Canyon…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is setting three blocking record at Gavilan College and receiving four awards during her sophomore year…Has learned by playing volleyball that “Keeping your head held high and composing yourself will help you more than you think”…Enjoys cooking and spending time with her cats…Rates painting and ceramics as her biggest non-sports talents…Christmas is her favorite holiday (“and every year after Thanksgiving dinner I start decorating”)…At the top of her bucket list: “Going to all the National Parks”…Majoring in organizational communications…Plans to move to Idaho after graduation and obtain her real estate and property management licenses.
