Biography

As a Junior (2024)
- Made 14 appearances, all out of the bullpen
- Threw 16.2 innings and allowed 9 earned runs
- Struck out 11 and walked 7 batters
- Collected 2 saves, the first against Montana State Billings (Feb. 9) and the other against Cal State San Marcos (March 16)
- Picked up only win in game one against Sonoma State (May 3), throwing a game-high 3 innings with 35 pitches
- Struck out 2 batters in a game in three different games

As a Sophomore (2023)
- Made 9 appearances out of the bullpen
- Had a 8.68 ERA in 9.1 innings pitched
- Recorded 6 strikeouts

Pre-Chico Days
- Pitched two seasons at Feather River College in Quincy
- Appeared in a total of 24 games (nine starts), posting four wins and striking out 52 batters in 55.1 innings pitched
- A 2020 graduate of Modoc High School in Alturas
- Earned four varsity letters
- Helped lead the Braves to the 2019 CIF Northern Section Division V championship
- Three-time All-Shasta Cascade League selection
- Also lettered in football (earning three All-SCL honors) and wrestling (one All-SCL accolade, placed in the masters)
- Received Modoc High’s Academic Achievement Award for his graduating class

Personal
- Born December 1, 2001, in Reno, Nevada
- Son of Ted and Beckie
- Has two younger siblings, Troy and Bruce
- His mother is his hero (“She has the most willpower and mental strength out of anyone I know”)
- The person he most admires in the sports world is Clayton Kershaw (“Not just because he is a good player, but just because you can tell he is genuinely a nice guy”)
- Why he chose to attend Chico State: “I love the baseball program and what it has to offer, and Chico is close to home”
- His favorite course at Chico State has been Biomechanics with Dr. Bakkie
- His greatest sports moment was throwing a no-hitter through eight innings in a do-or-die game in the first round of the playoffs
- The most interesting thing he’s ever done is go to Nebraska to compete in a 4-H national shotgun shooting competition
- The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is shooting an antelope at 901 yards
- Has learned by playing baseball that “you have to fail in order to succeed”
- Enjoys going into the wilderness and “looking for cool animals” when he has some free time
- Considers hunting his biggest non-baseball talent
- At the top of his bucket list: “Go on a Colorado elk hunt”
- Best advice ever received came from his dad: “Don’t give up on something if you can still find the time and have the capabilities to perfect it”
- Majoring in Excercise Physiology
- Plans to continue on to physical therapy school
